Communications

All instructions for submitting papers to the 12th Spanish-Portuguese Assembly of Geodesy and Geophysics must be followed to ensure the consistency and quality of the content. As an Iberian and international event, papers written in Portuguese, Spanish, and English are accepted.

A summary of the presentation (abstract), of a maximum of 300 words, must be submitted before the deadline for submission of abstracts, using the following templates

The paper must be submitted through Universidad Politécnica de Madrid’s Event Management System. The session topic and the type of presentation (oral or poster) in which you wish to participate must be indicated during registration. The following guide covers the registration process in the Event Management System of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the submission of the abstract, and registration for AHPGG 2026: Instructions for authors

The Assembly will be organized in 9 sessions, coinciding with the topics that constitute the Spanish Commission of Geodesy and Geophysics:

  • S.01. Geodesy
  • S.02. Seismology and Physics of the Earth’s Interior
  • S.03. Geomagnetism and Aeronomy
  • S.04. Volcanology
  • S.05. Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences
  • S.06. Physical Oceanography
  • S.07. Hydrology
  • S.08. Applied Geophysics
  • S.09. Cryospheric Sciences

Subsequently, before September 15, 2026, full papers must be submitted. They will appear in the Assembly publication and will be sent digitally to all participants. Information on the template to be used for submitting final papers and the procedure to follow will be published shortly.

Papers accepted for oral presentation at the Assembly will be given a time limit for presentation and a time limit for answering questions raised by those present. These presentation times will be defined later, and are approximately 15 minutes long.

Papers presented as posters must be limited to a maximum of 70 x 100 cm, in vertical format.
